History of University Hospital & Clinics
Lafayette Charity Hospital held it's formal opening on September 29th, 1938. The hospital was then moved to a brand new facility on Congress St. & named University Medical Center in 1982. LGH took over management of UMC in June of 2013 and named facility University Hospital & Clinics where it continues to thrive today.
